What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is an effective way to get fit. Anyone can do it. It is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a timed or scored workout. We do pull-ups, squats, push-ups, weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing, and a host of other movements.
What should I bring for my trial session?
To every session you should bring water and a small towel – you will be sweating onto equipment and the floor! Humour and determination are will serve you well too.
Do you tie me in with a contract?
No! Come for your free taster, if you want to come again you can take a month’s membership. If you need a membership break (long holiday maybe) just let us know, we’ll suspend the direct debut until you return. Never any commitment beyond the month you’ve paid for in advance.
How often can I attend?
That depends on your membership level. The most economical is unlimited meaning you can train as often as you like including workshops, weekend sessions and open gym. The minimum membership provides for two sessions per week. You’re never tied in to any level so just speak with us if you want to increase or decrease attendance and we’ll adjust your payments.
Do I need any special equipment?
Now, just regular gym kit. Supportive training shoes, shorts or tracksuit bottoms (freedom of movement is key) and t-shirt or other top that doesn’t restrict overhead and other movements. Some athletes prefer weight-lifting shoes for some elements but we have a selection of these available to borrow so you can see what works for you. Most athletes live every session in their most comfortable trainers.
Do you have car parking?
There are 3 allocated parking spaces in front of the unit, otherwise parking on the road is the preferred option.
Do you have a specific question? If so, let us know and we’ll answer it as best we can.
